The suspect driver has turned themself in after a hit and run in Western North Carolina last month left a pedestrian dead and another injured.
As we previously reported, the Asheville Police Department responded April 8th after a vehicle hit two people at the intersection of Louisiana and Patton Avenues.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the suspect driver, 22 year old Kerrigan Hensley, turned herself in, Thursday . She's charged with death by vehicle and two counts of hit and run.
