Police in one Upstate town say a drug trafficker is in custody after trying to fight officers off. The Honea Path Police Department says they saw a narcotics transaction Tuesday on an Anderson City Bus.
Police say 52 year old, Rancy Richardson tried to flee the scene. A foot pursuit led to a fight and Richardson reportedly tried to pull a gun. Officers then tased him and were able to eventually take him into custody.
Richardson was found with nearly 3 ounces of meth, over half an ounce of fentanyl and a loaded gun. He's charged with trafficking meth and fentanyl, resisting arrests and multiple weapons violations.
