A Seneca man is facing a list of charges after being found hiding in the crawl space of a house he burglarized. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office responded to an alarm call at a home on Sweet Gum Drive, Saturday. No suspect was found at that time. Later, deputies were informed that a suspicious man was walking around the area armed with a gun.
While investigating that a deputy found a window open at a different house on the same road. Deputies reported seeing liquor bottles, food containers and clothes scattered across a hallway. The house was searched and 38 year old, Thomas Edwin Turner was found hiding in the crawl space.
Turner reportedly had a gun with him in the crawl space. He's charged with 1st degree burglary, property damage, possession of burglary tools and a weapons violation.
