A suspect is in custody after an Upstate shooting led to a police chase. The Greenville Police Department says, officers on patrol Thursday night saw two people shooting at each other at an apartment complex off of Haywood Road.
As officers approached, the car involved in the shooting fled the scene, prompting a pursuit. The suspect drove into a creek on Verdae Boulevard and then fled on foot. A K-9 was brought in to track the suspect, the driver was found in the woods and was taken into custody.
The suspect has not been identified as of the time of this report. However, the suspect faces charges of aggravated breach of peace, failure to stop for blue lights, intent to distribute cocaine and interfering with police.
