The suspect in an Upstate kidnapping has now been identified. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says, 34 year old Rebecca Ann Wells is in custody after she stole a vehicle with a baby inside it.
The incident happened around 7AM Tuesday morning at the Super Save Mart on Buncombe Road in Greenville. The vehicle was later spotted after it crashed near the intersection of Buncombe and Old Buncombe Road.
Wells fled the scene of the crash, but was apprehended. The Sheriff's Office says, the baby was taken to an area hospital for evaluation, but was not injured. Wells faces charges of Kidnapping and Grand Larceny.
