The suspect in a double murder in Greenville County, was found dead some 60-plus miles away over the weekend.
The Mauldin Police Department responded to a reported shooting at the Arbors at Brookfield Apartments on East Butler Road, around 6 PM Saturday night.
When officers arrived they found two women dead. The Greenville County Coroner's Office identified the victims as 41 year old Mariellen Minor and 52 year old Kim Melissa Thrift both of Greenville.
The suspect was quickly identified as Christopher Minor, he fled the scene prior to police arriving. Officials announced Sunday that the suspect was found dead in McCormick County.
No further information was made available, as of the time of this report.
