The suspect in a shooting at an Upstate motel has been apprehended more than 500 miles away.
As we previously reported, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office was searching for Paxton Tyler Bullard after a shooting at the Quality Inn on Pottery Road in Spartanburg, around 12:30 AM Thursday. The shooting left one person injured and the victim was taken to Spartanburg Regional, there's been no update on their condition.
Bullard had fled the scene prior deputies arriving. The Sheriff's Office announced Thursday evening that Bullard had been taken into custody in Perry County Missouri 500-plus miles from the scene of the crime.
He is expected to be extradited back to Spartanburg County to face trial for charges of attempted murder, shooting into a dwelling, property damage and a weapons violation.
