The suspect who was arrested after a Wednesday standoff now faces additional charges. 44 year old, Anthony Shay Hawthorne was taken into custody, after barricading himself in a home on Gunter Road in Greenville County for 8 hours.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office announced the additional charges n Friday. Hawthorne will now face three more counts of attempted murder after trying to burn deputies with a homemade flamethrower.
Hawthorne was already facing charges after he reportedly shot and wounded a K-9 unit. The Sheriff's Office says, the dog (Nikos) underwent successful surgery and has been given a positive prognosis.
