A suspect is set to serve three decades in prison after a woman was strangled to death at a vacant house in Greenville. In 2022, The Greenville Police Department responded to an abandoned house on South Leach Street.
Upon arrival officers found 69 year old, Susan Donald dead at the scene. The Greenville County Coroner's Office ruled that she died from strangulation.
The suspect, Ricky McCollough who had become acquainted with Donald shortly before he death, was then arrested. He entered guilty pleas on Tuesday to charges of murder and criminal sexual conduct.
McCollough has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.
