An Upstate man is set to spend more than two decades behind bars for a 2022 crime spree in Abbeville County. The 8th Circuit Solicitor's Office says 40 year old, Charles Eugene Bryson entered guilty pleas Monday on two counts of 2nd degree burglary and two counts of larceny.
The charges stem from a rash of burglaries from June until August of 2022. The Abbeville County Sherriff's Office was working four different residential burglary cases at the time and court records say Bryson was seen on video that a victim captured.
The Ware Shoals PD later spotted Bryson and contacted the Anderson County Sheriff's Office who was involved in the search for him. Bryson was then located by investigators and items stolen in the burglaries were found inside his vehicle and home.
He has been sentenced to 23 years total, 15 for the burglaries and 8 for the two larceny counts.
