The suspect who was shot and killed by a police officer in Easley earlier this week, has been identified.
The Pickens County Coroner's Office says 26 year old, Nicholas Elias Fernandez of Greer was shot multiple times outside a home on Rolling Hills Circle in Easley.
As we previously reported, police were called about Fernandez making threats to a manager at the Tractor Supply Company just before 11AM, Monday.
Fernandez fled prior to police arriving and a 9-1-1 caller followed him to a nearby home. Fernandez threatened to pour gas on the person's vehicle, when officers arrived there they found Fernandez armed with an axe. He was then shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
SLED says it's the 2nd police involved shooting in Easley this year and the 24th around the state.
