A suspect is in custody after a weekend standoff in Greenville County. Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a home on Camelback Road less than a mile from Furman University, Sunday night.
Upon arrival, investigators determined that 28 year old Justin Robert Hathcock had assaulted a family member. Hathcock refused to come out of his home and had his two children inside.
Deputies were able to make entry into the home and take Hathcock into custody without further issue. No injuries to the children were reported.
Hathcock is charged with assault, resisting arrest and unlawful conduct towards a minor.
