A suspect is in custody after a barricaded standoff in Spartanburg County. Deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a business on Highway 9, around 1:15PM Monday.
When they arrived, the suspect whose identity is being withheld for now was reportedly armed with a sword. The suspect fled on foot, the pursuit ended on Mike Drive and the suspect barricaded himself.
The Sheriff's Office says the suspect was taken into custody about an hour after deputies arrived.
