A crash in the Upstate involving a tanker truck and three other commercial vehicles left two people hospitalized and a rest area shutdown.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a tanker carrying animal by-product crashed at the rest area on I385 near mile marker 6 near Laurens County, around 830, Wednesday morning.
The tanker caused a crash involving two other tractor trailers and a car hauler. One of the tractor trailer drivers was airlifted to the hospital, another driver was also hospitalized.
The rest area was closed as a result of the crash and as of right now, there's no timeline on when it will re-open. The Highway Patrol says it doesn't seem like weather conditions played as a factor in the crash.
