The Upstate boy charged in a fatal Greenville County school shooting will be tried as an adult. The shooting killed 12 year old Tanglewood Middle School student, Jamari Jackson in March of 2022.

The suspect, identified by 13th Circuit Solicitor Walt Wilkins as 14-year-old Jordan Williams, was 12 at the time of the incident.
Williams appeared before a judge this past December to determine whether he'd be tried as an adult or not?

The judge postponed that decision and issued a ruling just before 5 PM, Thursday. The teenager will now face the charges of murder and a weapons violation, as an adult.
