The teenage victim who died in an accidental shooting in Oconee County, has now been identified. Coroner Karl Addis has identified the victim as 15 year old, Thaddaeus Terezakis of Westminster. As we previously reported, he died at a hospital after being accidentally shot in the head in Walhalla, Thursday morning.
The Coroner has ruled his manner of death as a homicide and the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head. Yesterday, the teenager who reportedly shot him was arrested. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says the shooting was accidental, but the teenager was negligent in how he handled the gun.
He has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and was referred to the Department Of Juvenile Justice. Due to being underage, the shooter has not been publicly identified.
