Teenager arrested after shooting in Greenville County park

A teenager has been arrested in connection to a shooting at a Greenville County park, last week. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of shots fired at Southside Park on Baldwin Road in Simpsonville.

The incident happened when a group of teenagers gathered in the park for Senior Skip Day. The Sheriff's Office says a man then went to Hillcrest Hospital suffering from at least one gunshot wound after the incident.

On Tuesday, a 16 year old was arrested in connection to the shooting. He faces charges of aggravated breach of peace, 1st degree assault and a weapons violation.

The teenager has been transferred to the DJJ facility in Columbia. The Sheriff's Office says they are still looking to identify other suspects. Anyone with info is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 23-Crime.
