A teenager is in custody following a weekend shooting in the Upstate. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says, a 17 year old suspect was arrested Tuesday on charges for attempted murder and weapons violations.
The Sheriff's Office says, a deputy was notified about a shooting that happened this past weekend. The Deputy found that the victim was in a Georgia hospital, and it was determined the shooting happened Sunday at a home near Westminster.
Arrest warrants say, the victim was shot in the back with a handgun while trying to flee the area. The Sheriff's Office has not identified the suspect due to them being underage.
