An arrest has been made after a threat was made towards a CEO planning to visit a North Carolina college campus for commencement. Arrest warrants show that 24 year old Luke Hoover is charged with making a threat of mass violence.
The charge comes after Hoover allegedly threatened to shoot the CEO of Duke Energy at NC State's Commencement next month. Police say the threat was made via social media.
The target was Duke Energy CEO and President Harry Sideris who is alumnus of NC State and was slated to speak at the school's commencement May 9th. There's been no word yet on whether Sideris is still the planned speaker following the threat.
