One person is dead and another is injured following a three car collision in the Upstate. The crash happened around 9:45 Monday morning on Highway 123 just west of the Greenville City limits. The Highway Patrol says that a driver in a minivan traveling northbound changed lanes hitting a Kia sedan that was beside them, that sent the Kia into the Southbound lane where it hit a driver in a Mercury sedan head on.
The driver of the Kia later died after being transported to the hospital. The driver of the Mercury was injured in the crash, he was transported to Greenville Memorial. The driver of the minivan was not injured in the crash. The Highway Patrol says all three drivers were wearing a seatbelt. The name of the deceased has not been released as of this time.
