While saving one Upstate racetrack has been a major focal point of recent discussion, another Upstate racetrack is handing out suspensions.
Officials from the Laurens County Speedway say that three drivers and two others are suspended after multiple incidents last weekend. Drivers Trenton Jamieson, Carson Taylor and Grant Burton. Taylor and Jameison have been banned for four weeks. Burton has been suspended for 6 weeks.
Two non-drivers, Wendy Poston and Josh Ward have also been banned from the property. Ward is barred for four weeks, while Polson is suspended the track for two weeks. Track officials posted the suspensions on social media, however they did not elaborate on what exactly led to the suspensions.
