The Union County Sheriff's Office responded to a plane crash, Tuesday. The pilot of a small private plane was trying to make an emergency landing after taking off from Greenwood for Rock Hill.
The pilot reported a mechanical issue and was trying to make an emergency landing at the Union County airport, but crashed in a field around 7:15PM.
Three people on board were taken by ambulance to a hospital with injuries that have been described as non-life threatening . The FAA and NTSB are investigating the crash.
