The victims of a Western North Carolina plane crash Monday have been identified.
Authorities confirmed three people died in the crash of a single-engine Cessna 182 on a densely wooded hillside off of Brackett Town Road near Vein Mountain in McDowell County.
The plane was reported missing early Monday on a flight from Tennessee to Rutherford County. Those killed in the crash have been identified as Adam Plummer, the pilot, and passengers Scott George and Charles Mather Jr.
Officials are still investigating. The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation.
