
The National Weather Service confirmed the damage in northern Laurens County and southern Spartanburg County Friday, was caused by an EF-1 tornado.

The tornado had estimated wind speeds near 100 miles per hour. Multiple trees were downed as the line of severe weather crossed the upstate and western NC. Some homes were damaged, but there were no reports of injuries.
