Tornado touches down and causes damage in North Georgia

A tornado Tuesday night in North Georgia caused damage to a state park. The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-1 Tornado touched down at Bobby Brown State Park in Elbert County.

The touchdown happened just after 7PM. The tornado brought with it winds of over 100 miles per hour. The twister uprooted trees and damaged pavilions in the park.


Tree damage was also found in McCormick County which is just across the state line from Brown park.
