One person is dead after a weekend crash in the Upstate, involving a tractor-trailer. The single vehicle crash happened around 8:40 Sunday night on Highway 76 in Oconee County, near Westminster.
Corporal David Jones of the South Carolina Highway Patrol says, the driver of the Freightliner ran off the road, hit an embankment and overturned. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation, the identity of the driver has not yet been released.
