Two people from Western North Carolina are facing charges after authorities facing charges after they allegedly tied a malnourished dog to a tree. The Henderson County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for a welfare check on a dog, Monday.
Officers arrived and found an emaciated dog tied to a tree. The dog was taken to a local veterinarian to be treated. Two suspects, Henry Hollenback and Virginia Burrell were both later arrested and are charged with animal cruelty.
