What was supposed to be a safe haven for a child, unfortunately ended up being a death sentence. A pair of suspects are facing charges after the death of a 4 year old.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says, 42 year old Nancy Dianne West and 46 year old, Bradley Kyle Craig the child's foster parents are charged with homicide by child abuse.

The charges came after the 4 year old, identified as Cassie Cheryl Ann Owens, was found unresponsive at a home in Travelers Rest. The child later died after being taken to a hospital. Investigators say Cassie had been deprived of proper nutrition.
