Two charged after road rage shooting leaves teenager injured

Bond has been denied for two Oconee County men on charges accusing one of them of firing a gun at a car, wounding a young woman in the face, during a road rage episode in Greenville County.

She was riding in the car Herman Clayton Burdette Jr. is charged with shooting at near Fountain Inn's North Main Street shortly before 10:00 PM Monday.

Hospital sources say a .45-caliber bullet hit the 18 year old victim in the cheek and injured her jaw. Burdette is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon in a violent crime.

Fountain Inn Police say the man who was riding with him, identified as Randy Wayne Palazzola , admitted he hid the weapon in Burdette's boat, which was attached to the vehicle.

He's charged as accessory-after-the-fact. Both men ae being held at the Greenville County Detention Center.
