
Two people are dead after separate crashes in the Upstate, after the weekend. The 1st fatal wreck happened around 9:45 Saturday night on Belton Street in Anderson County. The Highway Patrol says a motorcyclist tried to pass a vehicle that was stopped to make a left turn.
The motorcycle then sideswiped the other vehicle. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and later died at a local hospital from injuries suffered in the collision. The deceased has been identified as, 50 year old Thomas Clayton Barnaby.
The 2nd fatal crash happened around 730 AM Sunday morning on Highway 25 in Greenwood County. Officials say, a man on a bicycle was hit while riding in the road, and was pronounced dead at the scene. He's been identfied as 65 year old, John Michael Sontag of Greenwood.
