The Highway Patrol reports two people were killed and four injured in a two vehicle collision in Pickens County last evening. Master Trooper David Jones reports a 2011 Ford Fiesta and a 2013 Dodge Ram Truck were both head southbound on US Highway 123 near US Highway 178, when the Dodge Truck struck the Ford from the rear, causing the compact car to run off the roadway, overturning several times.
The driver and a passenger of the Ford where ejected and died at the scene. Three other occupants of the Ford as well as the driver of the Dodge Truck were taken to a local hospital for treatment. That collision remains under investigation.
