A Greenville man is facing drug trafficking charges after an Upstate traffic stop.
The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says deputies tried to stop a vehicle on I-85, near Exit 35. The driver then took the off ramp, turned around and came back on the interstate in the wrong direction. Deputies then forcibly stopped the vehicle.
The driver later identified as 39 year old, Marquise Lomax tried to then run from the vehicle and was apprehended. The Sheriff's Office says, a search of the car uncovered more than 4 pounds of fentanyl and Lomax was then arrested.
He's charged with trafficking fentanyl and failure to stop for blue lights. Lomax has initially been denied bond.
