Two murder in less than 24 hours have residents reeling in the Town of Union. As we previously reported, the first fatal shooting happened on South Mountain Street, Tuesday morning.
The Union Police Department responded around 8AM and found a man dead from gunshot wounds. The 2nd incident happened around 10:30 PM Tuesday at DD's Food Mart at the corner of Pinckney Street and Union Boulevard.
Officers found gunfire damage to the building and shell casings on the scene. A woman was found in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
SLED has been called into assist with the investigations. Officials have not confirmed if the two shootings are related, however they occurred less than a half a mile from each other.
