Two police officers are critically injured after a shooting in a Charlotte suburb. The Mint Hill Police Department responded to a custody exchange call, Friday morning.
Police say the man involved in the exchange pulled a gun on officers which prompted a shootout. The suspect was shot and killed in the incident. Two officers were injured and were both taken to a hospital to be treated. As of Sunday, they both were said to be in critical but stable condition.
The suspect has been identified as 36 year old, Tjamel Ali Hamlin II. No further details have been released, as of the time of this report.
