Two Upstate men sentenced after rash of robberies across the South

Two Upstate men will spend time in federal prison after a crime spree across the South. Gerald Raymond Jr. and Ryan Lewis Jones were sentenced late last week after pleading guilty in a string of robberies.

Court records say, that the rash of robberies happened in 2021 and 2022. Raymond was apprehended after a foot chase following a robbery at Credit Plus in Gaffney. The duo was charged for taking part in robberies in the Carolinas, Alabama and Tennessee.

Raymond was sentenced to 30 years and Jones was given 16 and a half years. There's no parole or early release in the federal system.
