Two Upstate student athletes were injured in a crash late last week. Byrnes Football players Chris Foster and Caleb Melton were headed to the school after a team breakfast Friday morning, when they were involved in a crash.

Both were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. They missed the Rebels 1st round playoff game at Hillcrest Friday night. The Byrnes team rallied around Foster and Melton and played inspired football beating Hillcrest 31-28.
There's been no update yet on when Foster and Melton might be back on the field.
