Two separate wildfires continue to burn in one Western North Carolina county. Polk County Emergency Management says both the Black Cove and Deep Woods fires were still burning, as of Thursday morning.
The Black Cove Fire has burned about 200 acres. A downed powerline is said to what started the fire, Wednesday.
The Deep Woods Fire has burned about 50 acres and the cause of the fire has still not been determined. Neither fire was close to being contained as of the time of this report.
