An investigation is ongoing after a shooting in the Upstate that left two women injured. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Motorboat Club Road in Greenville around 12:30 Thursday afternoon.
Upon arrival, deputies found two women who were both suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The Sheriff's Office says that a man described as a person of interest in the shooting has been detained. The two victims were transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
The motive and details surrounding what led to the shooting are still under investigation. No further information has been released, as of the time of this report.
