South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson was a guest at last night's Presidential Debate Watch Party, but had to leave early for a family emergency.
Tuesday morning we learned that emergency was regarding his 77 year old father, South Carolina's Second District Congressman Joe Wilson. An X post at 8:49PM Tuesday said "Congressman Joe Wilson was taken ill and is being evaluated at a local hospital in Washington DC".
NBC News reports that Wilson collapsed at an event in Washington. Alan Wilson, posted that doctors confirmed his dad experienced stroke-like symptoms and added that he had spoken to his father, saying he is stable and being monitored by medical professionals.
