Senator Tim Scott has condemned a social media post made on President Trump's account.
Thursday, a video circulated from Trump's Truth social account that was reportedly supposed to be an AI-generated parody of the movie the Lion King.
Fomer President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle were depicted as apes in the video. Scott took to social media calling the post "the most racist thing I've seen out of the White House".
Scott also called for the post to be taken down and it has since been removed. Scott is the only Black Republican in the U.S. Senate and has been a Trump ally.
The White House has blamed a staff member for the post.
