A Union man will spend the next two decades in federal prison on drug trafficking charges. William Michael Hall pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and meth. Hall was just released from prison in 2020 after doing 10 years on a prior federal drug charge.
Court records say that the DEA learned in 2021 that Hall was receiving drug shipments in the mail. Agents found messages on Hall's cell phone between him and a distributor in Ohio setting up the deliveries.
In July of 2021, Spartanburg County Deputies stopped a courier Hall recruited to transport for him and found five kilos of meth and a kilo of fentanyl inside the vehicle.
Hall has been sentenced to 20 years; there's no parole in the federal system.
