Early this month marked an Upstate church’s first major Arts Conference.
The FPC Arts at First Presbyterian Church held the new “Mystery of Beauty” conference on Friday, March 1st, which featured both a locally and an internationally renowned artist, Carolina Riddle and Makoto Fujimura respectively. It also featured Leighton Ford Initiative acting director Dr. Wes Vander Lugt and neoclassical music group Abilene.

The conference served as an opportunity for attendees to interact with and experience the works of these speakers.
An exhibition, titled MYSTERION, was also held featuring Fujimura’s works. That gallery is available to view at First Presbyterian Church through July of this year.

A concert is also scheduled at the church’s Worship & Arts Center on Friday, April 19th featuring The Gray Havens. Full details are available at First P-R-E-S Greenville dot org slash events.
