The coroner in one Upstate county is speaking out after extreme cold caused two deaths there, just days apart. Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore has issued a statement on the two weather related fatalities.

The first incident happened on Christmas Eve, in the other incident a man was found dead the day after Christmas. Shore says, in the 1st of the two incidents, a power outage caused the man's oxygen concentrator to malfunction. Shore said, the man's portable O2 tank did not have a regulator on it at the time and the man struggled to put it on and then collapsed.

The second death happened when 91 year old, Marvin Henley tried fixing a busted water pipe at his home on Hartview Circle, Christmas Day. Henley was found dead, Monday afternoon.

Shore says, he was in wet clothes and was exposed to extreme cold temperatures. The coroner says, it's not the 1st time cold weather has caused fatalities in Anderson County, However it is rare that they happen just days apart.
