A Spartanburg County Deputy is injured after they accidentally shot themselves, Tuesday. The Sheriff's Office says the incident happened during an inspection in a locker room at the detention center, but away from inmates.
The Deputy was hit in the thigh and received medical attention and is said to be in stable condition. The incident is under investigation, but preliminary findings say the shooting was a result of negligent discharge.
