A house fire in the Upstate Tuesday night left one person hospitalized. The Easley Fire Department responded to a reported fire at a home on Ireland Road.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the home fully engulfed in flames. Crews used what is described as a defensive attack to get control of the fire within 30 minutes of arriving.
The homeowner was able to escape and was taken to the hospital for observation. The cause of the fire was still being determined, as of the time of this report.
