A donkey is dead after a weekend hunting accident in Anderson County. The SCDNR responded to a property there after a donkey was shot and killed, Sunday.
Officials say a hunter claimed that he shot at a deer but missed and hit the pet donkey. The hunter has been charged with negligent use of a firearm and hunting to close to a residence. DNR officials have not publicly released the identity of the hunter.
