A wanted Upstate man authorities say was living under a false identity for the last 17 years is now in custody. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says Antron Hall was found guilty while being absent back in 2006 on charges of trafficking cocaine and failure to stop for blue lights.
He avoided prison time by fleeing the area and earlier this year detectives learned that Hall has been living under an assumed name in the Detroit, Michigan area. Earlier this week, the U.S. Marshals took Hall into custody there in Michigan. They say that Hall's wife and children didn't even know his true identity.
Hall was one of Anderson County's most wanted fugitives for over 15 years. He's currently being held in Wayne County, Michigan and is expected to be extradited back to the Upstate.
