A man named as a person of interest in the disappearance of an Upstate woman is now facing federal charges. A Grand Jury has indicted 47 year old Da'Ron Jerome Collins on charges of obstructing justice and witness tampering.
As we previously reported, Collins was charged by the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office with obstruction of justice and larceny. Those charges stem from the disappearance of 44 year old Casey Young. She was last seen leaving her job at Spartanburg Regional May 15th.
Young and Collins were living together when she disappeared. Collins told investigators that they had an argument and Young left in her car. The vehicle was found parked at a nearby apartment complex two days later.
Surveillance video showed Collins parking the car there and wiping it down the day Young disappeared.
The investigation into Casey Young's disappearance continues, and her whereabouts are still unknown.
