The elderly man who died after being hit by a train in the Upstate has now been identified.
The Easley Police Department, Pickens County Coroner's Office and 1st responders were called to the railway on Allen Street in Easley, Saturday. Upon arrival, they found a man who had been walking and had been hit by a train.
He was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he died a few days later. The Coroner's Office has identified the deceased as 71 year old Gary Knight Sr. of Easley.
