A Spartanburg County man has pleaded guilty in connection to a federal kidnapping investigation. 47 year old, Da'Ron Jerome Collins entered guilty pleas to charges of witness tampering and obstruction of justice.
The charges came after the disappearance of Casey Young in May of 2023. She was last seen leaving the couple's home in Boiling Springs heading to work. Collins was later seen on video wiping down Young's car and taking it to a nearby parking lot.
Police were reportedly at the couple's home multiple times for domestic violence incidents, prior to Young's disappearance. Prosecutors say that Collins tried hiding and destroying evidence and also lied to investigators.
More than 14 months after her disappearance Casey Young is still missing. Collins has not yet been sentenced but faces a possible maximum of 40 years in prison.
